Toyota Prius is Tops in Terms of New Car Value


Each year, Consumer Reports creates a list of the Best and Worst New-Car values, and there have always been rather traditional and popular subcompacts atop that list. This year, however, those gasoline-powered models had to switch gears and make room for the Toyota Prius, which became the first hybrid-powered vehicle to top the annual list. The magazine even reports that the cost to operate the Prius (about 49 cents per mile) is about half that of a conventional vehicle.
