Even though the Toyota Corolla Cross made its debut only last year, the 2023 version will already have some key changes. One of these involves the introduction of a hybrid model.
These are the details we have so far about the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid.
Power and Drivetrain
The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two motors that combine to generate 194 horsepower. While the regular Toyota Corolla Cross comes with front-wheel drive, the hybrid model has all-wheel drive as the standard drivetrain.
Fuel Economy
With a hybrid, you should expect good fuel economy, and the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid certainly delivers in this area. It offers 37 MPG combined city/highway, which is a great number for its class.
Tech
The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid comes with many of the latest tech features, including an infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen that can also be voice activated. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® are standard, as are a navigation system, USB ports, and a six-speaker stereo. Upper trims have a nine-speaker JBL® sound system.
Safety
Every Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid comes with Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0, and this includes:
- Automatic emergency braking
- Pedestrian detection
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane centering
- Automatic high beams
- A rear seat reminder
Rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot monitoring are also available.
