If you're an automotive fan like we are here at R & H Toyota, than you've probably heard that Toyota has been planning to release a new hybrid model at this year's Frankfurt Auto Show, being held later this month. Since this new was released, there has been a wide variety of speculation concerning which specific model would serve as the influence for the Japanese automaker's new hybrid model.
As it turns out, the Hybrid-R Concept isn't being based on a fresh new model, it is centered around a vehicle that has been popular staple of our new Toyota lineup for over a decade, the Yaris.
Of course, this Yaris model features a huge boost in power, performance and style, taking design inspiration from the TS030 hybrid racer that took second place in this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The trendy hatchback will feature a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder GRE (Global Race Engine), manufactured by Toyota Motorsport.
The innovative new hybrid concept will also feature a unique all-wheel drivetrain where the engine sends power to the front wheels, while two electric motors will supply power to the two rear wheels for an impressive horsepower protected at 400.
Once the Yaris Hybrid-R Concept makes its full debut later this month, you can be sure that we will have more updates on this exciting model for you here on our blog, so be sure to check back.
