If the recent news regarding our favorite automaker's Pre-Collision System was any indication, safety is paramount for the brass at Toyota. And now that they've launched TeenDrive365, the pride just continues to grow here at R & H Toyota.

After a recent study from the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute showed that there was a significant connection between the risks and behaviors of first-time drivers and the driving habits of their parents, the brass at Toyota decided it was time to nip this epidemic in the bud. From there, TeenDrive365 was born.

Rather than use it as a platform to educate teens drivers about the dangers of reckless and distracted driving, TeenDrive365 makes a point to bring parents into the conversation. Together, teens and parents are introduced to a host of online resources and tools to make both parties more engaged behind the wheel.

More specifically, the platform includes information on teen safe driving events taking place around the country that feature everything from virtual-reality driving simulators to defensive driving courses. They'll also be able to access Toyota Teen Driver: a coaching guide made up of training videos that encourages teens to make their own short film about safe driving for the chance to win a $15,000 prize.

So if you and your teen would like to learn more about everything TeenDrive365 has to offer, we'll be happy to fill you in at our dealership here in Owings Mills, MD, just down the way from Baltimore. Or if you're currently in the market for a safe set of wheels, your family can't go wrong with the 2013 Toyota Camry. After all, what's more important than safety?
