After months of posts on our R & H Toyota blog about the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla, we are thrilled to inform our loyal enthusiasts that the vehicle has been officially revealed and has proven to be worth the wait and hype.

The grille is the first noticeable change and sets the overall feel of the vehicle as it has been enlarged to show prominence. The new Corolla also takes some style from another popular model in our Owings Mills, MD showroom, the Toyota Avalon, but with less chrome.

You may remember that there had been speculation and rumors that the new Corolla would take design lines, accents and curves from the Furia Concept that was showcased in Detroit earlier in the year. We are pleased to inform our readers that this is indeed the case. There is also the added surprise of the model getting an exterior update that is influenced by the Scion FR-S in the form of wheels.

As for specs, the 2014 Corolla sports a standard 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that attains 132 horsepower, however acoustic glass and carpet insulation amount other parts make the sedan a quiet ride. The vehicle once again borrows style from the Avalon with an almost identical dashboard on its interior. The new Corolla is also larger than before with its wheelbase and length expanded by 3.9 inches to give more space and versatility.
