He's one of the most influential and sought-after players in the NFL today, and he recently made a big move from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets. Who is he? Tim Tebow, of course. The quarterback may represent a lot of things to a different people, but yesterday, he represented Toyota, whether he planned to or not.

In a press conference after he made the switch to the jets, Tim Tebow exposed millions of television viewers around the country to the Toyota logo printed several times (alongside Jets logos) in the backdrop in which his podium stood in front. Tebow spot for 33 minutes at the team's headquarters in Florham Park, New Jersey in front of more than 200 reporters. The exposure of the Toyota logo is expected to have far-reaching implications, earning the auto brand around $2 million or more in media exposure. As Eric Wright, President and Executive Director of a Michigan-based sponsorship evaluation company, Joyce Julius and Associates, so aptly explains, "If you're Toyota you're very happy. The final number could be well north of a couple of million when it's done."1

Local television channels showed the conference in its entirety, but snippets were also shown by such stations as ESPN and CNN on a national level. The New York Jets are sponsored by Toyota, which has also donated a Toyota Coaches Club that includes a large deck for relaxing near the team's bench.
