Toyota's 2011 3-Door Yaris is Gaining Popularity

The all new Toyota Yaris 3-Door is becoming more popular then its 4-door counterpart. With a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 106 horsepower with an output of 104 lb-ft @ 4,200 rpm, a curb weight of only 2,355 lbs, and a surprisingly large cargo section, it is no surprise that these little guys are flying off dealership lots!

So, how many miles per gallon does a sporty little car like this receive? The Fuel Economy EPA average floats around 31 mpg highway, 29.6 city.

There's also a Sport Package of the 2011 Yaris, available for test drive today at R & H Toyota in Owings Mills, Maryland. This includes a color-keyed front and underbody spoilers, side rocker panels, rear spoiler, unique S badge, integrated for lamps, driver and front-passenger sport seats with sport fabric, leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, power door locks, power windows with driver's auto-down and power outside mirrors, AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, XM compatible, auxiliary audio jack, CD text display function, iPod interface, 60/40 split, sliding reclining and fold-flat rear-seat functions.

Yaris fits P185/60R-15 on 15-inch steel wheels. One can also add engine immobilizer and remote keyless entry for $2,665; cruise control for $250 and an all-weather guard package for $70. Base price for a 2011 Toyota Yaris begins at $14,415, but can reach upwards of$17,400.
