The Avalon has returned for 2011 with an updated look and plenty of leg room for those wanting to drive a reliable Toyota, but needing more space than you'll find in a Yaris.

The 2011 Toyota Avalon makes buying a car easier by offering only two (but still very well equipped) trim levels. Pricing varies a few thousand dollars between each.

Toyota offers the basic Avalon with a great amount of standard equipment at $32,000 MSRP; while a Limited model adds even more options and priced to near luxury territory at $35,485. The Limited model has one option to choose: a $1,450 navigation system. Top MSRP for the most coveted Avalon comes in at around $37,885.

Overall interior volume sits at a spacious 107 cubic feet, and rear passengers are greeted with an impressive 40.9 inches of leg room. That's nearly three inches more space than the Avalon's competition.

The Avalon matches its interior styling with performance under the hood too. The 3.5-liter V6 produces 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. This maneuvers Avalon effortlessly and quietly, with no signs of rough throttle or exhaustive effort.

The Avalon's six-speed automatic is a great pairing for the 3.5-liter engine, with very smooth shifts.  Environmental Protection Agency's official rating for the car is 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway.

Test drive the 2011 Toyota Avalon today at R & H Toyota - 9801 Reisterstown Road - Owings Mills, MD 21117.
